Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Sduella collects, uses and protects your personal information while you discover jobs, internships, learnerships, bursaries and funding opportunities through the platform.
Last updated: 1 September 2026
1. Information We Collect
The information Sduella holds depends on what you choose to use. It may include:
• Account details such as your name, email address, role, country and city
• Student facts such as education, institution, study level, field and academic information you provide
• Work facts such as experience, skills, qualifications, availability and preferred work
• Founder and business facts such as business stage, sector, location and funding needs
• Saved opportunities, search interests, alert settings and notification history
• Documents you upload to your private workspace
• Practice attempts, interview responses, task submissions and capability evidence
• Introduction decisions and the exact categories or documents you agree to share
• Device, security, cookie and usage information needed to operate and protect the service
Most public opportunity pages can be browsed without an account. Sduella does not require a national identity number or bank details to create a basic account.
2. How We Use Information
Sduella uses information to operate accounts, save opportunities, send requested alerts, recommend relevant opportunities, support practice and preparation, improve source quality, protect the service and provide customer support.
Where you enable organisation discovery, Sduella may compare permitted profile facts and eligible capability evidence with criteria supplied by a verified organisation. The result is intended to help identify a possible fit. It is not a hiring, admission, lending or funding decision.
We do not sell personal information.
3. Capability Evidence and Practice
Practice work is private by default. A score or response can support organisation matching only when the activity is eligible to create capability evidence and you have permitted the relevant result and data category to be used for organisation discovery.
Sduella may keep individual attempts and dated capability snapshots so you can see progress over time. We do not treat an incomplete profile as a poor result and do not invent scores for missing information.
In Improve AI work activities, Sduella stores your revision and the AI review in encrypted form. The review may include dimension scores, strengths, remaining problems, safety notes and a suggested next revision. AI review can be wrong and should not be treated as professional, medical, legal, accounting, admission or funding advice.
These attempts remain private unless, after a review, you separately ask to submit one version as an anonymous public example. That request is moderated before publication and is separate from organisation matching. You can revoke public-example sharing without deleting your private attempt. Sduella does not publish a real name or account contact details with these examples.
When you choose to run a coding example, Sduella sends the code and example input to a separately operated, network-isolated execution service. The service returns the program output and resource result. Sduella records a source hash and encrypted run output for security, rate limiting and your result history. It does not send your profile, documents or contact details with the code.
Knowledge and practice material may include a source, jurisdiction, review date and version. Research requests remain pending until reviewed and do not silently replace published material.
4. Organisation Discovery and Introductions
Organisation discovery is off unless you enable it. Initial match results are pseudonymous and contain only permitted categories relevant to the organisation's stated need. Contact details and private documents are not exposed in a candidate match.
An organisation may request an introduction and state which categories or individual documents it would like to receive. You can accept or decline. If you accept, you select what is shared. A previous permission does not allow an organisation to request unrelated information.
Sduella uses matching to support human review. Organisations remain responsible for their own lawful and fair decisions.
5. Documents
Documents uploaded to your account are private unless you take an action that clearly shares a selected document for a specific introduction or service.
Do not upload information that is not necessary for your Sduella use. Before sharing a document, review it for identity numbers, banking information, signatures or information about other people. You may archive or remove documents through the controls made available in your account, subject to security, legal and audit retention requirements.
6. Opportunity Alerts and Marketing
Opportunity alerts and marketing are separate choices. You may ask Sduella to send matching opportunities at a selected frequency. You may separately agree to receive Sduella news or marketing.
You can change these choices in your alert settings. Essential security, verification and account-service messages may still be sent when needed to operate your account.
7. Organisation Contact Research and Outreach
Sduella may research publicly available business contact information to introduce its organisation services. A contact record may include the organisation, business email, role, source page, verification status and communication history.
Sduella records opt-outs and suppressions so that stopped outreach is not restarted by a later import. Outreach is separate from seeker opportunity alerts. When a person replies, Sduella may create a handoff for an authorised team member to continue the conversation.
8. Opportunities and External Applications
Sduella collects, normalises and displays opportunities from organisations and external sources. Sduella is not the employer, university, lender, investor or funder unless a listing clearly says otherwise.
Applications normally continue on an external provider website. Information submitted there is processed under that provider's own privacy policy and terms. Check the current listing before providing personal or business records.
9. Cookies and Advertising
Strictly necessary cookies and local storage keep accounts secure, restore sign-in state and remember requested settings. These functions cannot operate without the relevant storage.
Sduella is advertising-supported. Ad placements are part of the service and may appear when advertising inventory is available. Google and other advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies for delivery, fraud prevention, frequency control and measurement. Privacy choices shown by Google's certified consent platform depend on the visitor's location and applicable law. Where a choice is legally required, the available controls are shown before the relevant advertising storage is used.
Adsterra also supplies labelled banner and native advertising on public opportunity pages. Adsterra may process browser, device, IP address and advertising-interaction information for delivery, measurement and fraud prevention under its own privacy policy at https://adsterra.com/privacy-policy/. Sduella does not pass account profiles, private documents or saved-search details to the Adsterra placement code. Google's privacy controls govern Google advertising; they do not claim to control Adsterra. Your browser's cookie and tracking settings can also restrict third-party storage.
Select "Privacy and cookie settings" in the footer to review the Google advertising choices available for your location.
10. Location-based Results
When you open a public opportunity search without choosing a country, Sduella may ask your browser for location permission so it can show relevant results automatically. You can also request location again with the "Use my location" control.
If allowed, coordinates are sent to BigDataCloud to identify a city, province or region, and country. Sduella does not store the raw latitude or longitude. The resulting location preference may be kept in your browser for up to six months. You can decline and use country or location filters manually.
11. Storage, Security and Retention
Sduella applies technical and organisational safeguards designed to limit unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. Access is restricted to authorised people and service providers that need it to operate the platform.
Records are kept only for as long as needed for the service, security, consent history, dispute handling or legal obligations. Some records are archived rather than immediately erased so that consent, suppression and security history remain reliable.
12. Service Providers and Cross-border Processing
Sduella may use service providers for hosting, database storage, authentication, email delivery, analytics, advertising, location lookup, isolated code execution, AI-assisted review and security. Because Sduella operates worldwide, information may be processed outside your country.
We select providers and safeguards appropriate to the service and information involved. External opportunity websites control their own processing and are not Sduella service providers merely because Sduella links to them.
13. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, request a portable copy or complain to a data-protection authority.
You can change opportunity alerts, marketing consent, organisation discovery and sharing permissions without closing your account. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing invalid. Contact [email protected] for a privacy request. We may need to verify that the request belongs to you.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the product, providers or legal requirements change. The current version and updated date will be published on this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the account or email where appropriate.
